What is the Wilks Score?

The Wilks Coefficient is a mathematical formula used to compare the relative strength of powerlifters despite their different weight classes. It allows a 150 lb lifter to be fairly compared against a 250 lb lifter.

Usage in Competition

While some federations have moved to DOTS** or **IPF Points, Wilks remains the most widely recognized standard for "Best Lifter" awards in local meets and online comparisons.
